Thank you for your
interested in our travertines...Below is the answer to your questions.
We are interested in Turkish
Light travertine (1,500 sqf), NOT polished, honed, filled, (see ad i. above)-
we don't carry polished travertine,
because travertine will eventually come back to its low-hone anyway. so as your
request, we can supply that material. 12x24x1.2, however, I recommend you to get
1.5cm thickness, since the stone is 24 cm wide. but we can also do 1.2cm... FOB
turkey port $2.52
if possible color more yellowish like
the Roman travertine, as well as tumbled-light travertine (1100 sqf, see ad
iii.), if possible color also more yellowish.
it is very hard to understand the
color criteria when you say "more yellowish".. I will send you 2 samples,so
you can choose between them. for example our turkish delight is
more towards the beige color scheme. I will send you
that as well. we can supply 24x24x1.5 tumbled $2.80
Can you send also
samples?
I will send samples once I get your
contact information from findstone. I will also send our trade references in the
US. Our material is TOP quality, I know everyone says that but our references
will confirm this.
What about randomised German
Solnhofen stone (see ii. above)?
I am not familiar with this stone. if
you can send me pics I can look into it. but we only carry Turkish stones.
however, I will ask our sales reps and maybe we can find you some
resources.
can you provide
the turkish medium travertine with thin veins, honed and filled, 12
x24x5/8", 1500sqf?
yes, i can also provide this. FOB
price $2.42

Questions:
a. The total amount is 2600 sqf. How
much is the cost (CIF) from your port to Honolulu?
b. Can you send two samples of 1. and
2.?
c. How are the payment Terms and
condition? (1/2 down and on arrival and check of material in Honolulu the
rest?).
The problem is the order
is less than a container load and located in Hawaii. so if i send the
shipment from here, you will pay a fortune. but if you import you will pay
the same. so I think the cost of shipping is getting you...
1. 1500 sqf turkish light, thin
veins, beige color scheme, not polished travertine, 12"x24"x1.5, FOB turkey port
$2,52
2. 1100 sgf turkish
light, cross cut, beige color scheme, tumbled travertine, 24"x24"x1.5, FOB
$2.80
this was the order... tell them they are looking at, at least 1500-1700 for
ocean shipment from Turkey to Honolulu... and then no duty because Turkish
material is duty free. and if they can fill out a credit application I can
do 1/2 down, and 1/2 after inspection... the customs costs depends on the
honolulu port over, here we pay around $300... (Dec 17,
2002)
