e 4189 USA: We are doing two dormitory buildings in Western Massachusetts and are looking for a stone to be used on their exterior. The stone would be cut on four or six sides with a 4" bed depth and a range of 4" to 6" in height (running bond). We are looking for a gray stone which can have some blues or greens in it and most importantly that it have horizontal lines/striations. We have looked at schist and quartzite, but are not limited to this. We would need 30000 sq ft of stone. I am in Boston. Sept 18,

Further variables include face height modules, unit lengths, need to saw or dress ends or faces and the clients tolerance to natural color varience.

Offer 11: Blue-Grey limestone. I can supply a product, a dolomitic limestone called Silverwater from Ontario Canada. The stone is very hard/dense as is apparent from tests done by ASTM methods. If you are wanting
stone veneer the typical format is a +- 4" bed width with top and bottom sides and ends sawn cut. Front and back faces are split and face heights are to specification. I can email an image of the stone.
