describing in brief about Jodhpur sand stone.

JODHPUR SAND STONE: It is found in two colors: Pink, and brown, &
are coarse to fine grained. Even textured red in creamy shade &
has been used extensively in the construction of Jodhpur forte and
town. It is hard but carved for ventilatory screens. Creamy color
with red fossil shall gives pleasant colors and shades on
polish.
                Its reserves in Jodhpur district are one hundred
million tons according to latest survey of Indian bureau of mines.
It has similar Color to Dholpur sand stone but it is very
different in Physical & Chemical analysis report. Due to which it
is taken as the best sand stone. A few examples of use of this
stone are Umaid Bhawan palace of Jodhpur, Harbor of Karachi in
Pakistan, Palace of sultan of Oman.
                It is mined in the form of blocks, roofing slabs,
etc and we process and export it in the following forms:
A. (Bricks:)
1. Embossed Strips: For cladding on exteriors (8.89 cm in width,
12 to 20 mm in thickness            and 30 to 120 cm in length.
2. Embossed bricks: for masonry (8.89 cm in with, 7.62cm to 15.24
cm thickness and 30 to 120 cm in length.
B (Small blocks.)
For masonry work according to required size and shape either
machine or hand dressed.
C. Tiles: (Polished & Unpolished)
15.24 x 15.24, 15.24 x 30, and 30 x 30 cm. 18 to 20 mm ±1 mm.
4. Cut size:      30 x 45, 30 x 60-cm. and custom size
5. Slabs:      60 x 120-180 cm. 18 to 30 mm. ± 1 mm.
6. Pillars:      Round, Squared, Hand dressed and mechanized.
7. Lattice:      In many designs and sizes.
8. Curb stones, paving stones, copings, garden flooring and
monuments.
9. Staircase.
10.Artifacts.    Garden accessories, statues, candle holders,
kitchen articles etc.
