Jerusalem Stone is a generic term describing stone material coming from areas from the Jordan River on the east to the Mediterranean Sea on the west, and from the southern Port of Eilat on the Red sea to The Galilee and Haifa on the north.

Sites of these quarries are:

•   Ramon Gray and Gold --- extracted from the Ramon Mitzpah in the Negev Hebron
•   White and Pink --- from Hebron, Jerusalem
•   Jerusalem Red --- from areas surrounding Jerusalem and Bethlehem Benjamin
•   Gray and Gold - Jerusalem corridor. Galilee--- from the Galilee

• Dolomite is defined as material which contains more than 50% carbonate minerals of which over half are dolomite minerals (calcium-magnesium carbonate). It is considered a carbonate rock.
• Limestone is rock that contains more than 50% calcite (calcium carbonate). It is considered a carbonate rock.
• Marble consists of metamorphosed limestone or dolomite or both, and is also considered a carbonate rock.
